Midnight in Moscow

Close your eyes during this concert and you’ll find yourself in the middle of Red Square, gazing at the Kremlin in all its grandeur. From dawn to dusk, Russian music is revolutionary and innovative, ranging from folk songs like Shostakovich’s Folk Festival to grand symphonic works like Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture. Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition will take us on an imaginary tour of an art collection, and Rimsky-Korsakov’s Dance of the Tumblers will make you grin. Before the clock strikes midnight, we’ll delve into to a world of mystery and intrigue as we visit undercover spies with music from the James Bond series. And finally, SRB will perform the Russian folk song Moscow Nights as we finish our journey at Midnight in Moscow.
